Artist's statement: At first I wanted to make a box inspired by a book called "Journey to the River Sea" but it wasn't turning out the way I had hoped. For a while I didn't know what to do. Finally I finished the book and decided I would make my box like the office of a naturalist, like the one in the story. Making my box was a very fun and interesting experience.
